Movie Night

So this is the girls watching a movie the other day. Just thought that I would share. Gotta love it when they dress themselves. They are so cute! Love them so much!!!

Spinach Chips?

So I love spinach and Adam likes it. We use it a lot instead of lettus on sandwiches, salad, things like that. The other night we were having boca burgers for dinner. I didn't put any spinach on the kids burgers because the girls don't like it too much yet. But AJ quickly noticed that his burger was different than mommy's and daddy's. He wanted to try the spinach. So we gave him some. HE LOVED IT!!! So for the rest of the night he kept chomping away. He was eating the spinach leaves like potato chips. He even took a handful to eat in bed. Teeth brushed? Doesn't matter if you got spinach, baby. So it's a little weird, but can't complain about a kid that loves spinach!

Nose to Nose

So when I was a kid and I would fight with a sibling, my mother's favorite punishment, (Thanks a lot Debbie Budge), was to put me and the one I was fighting with nose to nose. We would literally have to stand close together with our noses touching. This always started out really frustrating. The other person usually hadn't brushed their teeth with in a few hours, (probably not since the night before), plus they're breathing on you and . . . well all I can say is GROSS!!!

Anyway, as frustrating as this was, within a few minutes, we, (me and my enemy), would soon be laughing at the situation and how awkward it was to stand there. It is a sure fire way of making feuders into friends.

So all my adult life I have been anxiously awaiting the time when I would be able to use this on my own children. Well the other day I finally got the chance. Not sure what the argument was about, but as fast as I could, my girls were nose to nose. It worked like a charm. Here are some pictures of their experience.

Slip N Slide

Who'da thought that you could use the slip and slide on the 10th of April. Where I am from, you just can't I love that about El Paso! The weather is so wonderful for most of the year.

My little sister and brother, Carolee and David, were visiting for the week and got to play with us. We loved having them here, and hope that they get to come back again real soon.



Check out the boogers and slobber. Gotta love these babies!!! It's funny how it's gross and yet so cute! :)





I still get butterflies when I see my husband!!! Can you blame me? I mean he's totally HOT!!!

AJ's Birthday

It was AJ's birthday on March 17th. He turned 2. We love this little boy so much, and he is definitely ALL boy!!! We are surprised every time we celebrate a birthday at how much time has flown by and how quickly our kids are progressing.

AJ is so much fun and brings so much excitement to our house. We love how energetic he is and the strong personality we see developing in him. Happy birthday Buddy, we love you so much and thank the Lord that he gave you to us!!!


AJ LOVED his birthday cake. We could not get him to stop eating it. He had 4 pieces before he finished. The cake was practically gone when he left the table.





AJ received a few presents, but the most beloved of all gifts ever given, up to date in the Hudson household, would have to be the 4 swords that he got. They were/are fun for the WHOLE family, especially Adam (the Daddy)!!!


After the swords were open, a 4 man sword fight quickly erupted and only stops now for bed time. There is constantly a sword in some one's hands at all times!

Lydia's Birthday

It was our sweet Lydia's birthday on the 23. She turned 6 years old. The time has gone so fast for Adam and I. I remember so vividly the night she was born, that it doesn't seem like it could possibly be six years ago. WOW!

Anyway, we love our little Bug so much. She is the happiest person that we have ever met. I rely on her good mood so much. In fact, when she is grumpy (which is hardly ever), it throws me way off and I have to make conscious choices to be happy. Sometimes I fail and cave to the temptations to be grumpy. I rely on her more than I should. We are so grateful for her beautiful spirit and the overwhelming amount of love that she carries within her.

We are so blessed to be your parents, Lydia. You make us happier than we would have ever thought possible. Happy Birthday Bug!





We had a birthday party for Lydia with our friends and neighbors the Saturday before her birthday. (Those are the pictures above). Then on her actual birthday we had just family activities and gifts. (Those are the pictures below). Lydia wanted to have blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs for her birthday dinner. So since we had a huge Dairy Queen ice cream cake for her party, we put her candles on her pancakes. She thought that it was great!

At the Park

My friend Kammie and I take our kids to the park 2-5 times a week. It gives us all something to do in the afternoons, and the kids, (for the most part:-)) play well together. I took some cute pictures of them playing.
